屈斜路湖には、秋から春にかけて白鳥がいます。わたし、白鳥は日がな一日、湖にいるものだと思っていました。ところが、雪がない時には、彼らをよく畑で見ます。畑に点々と白いゴミ袋が落ちている・・・と思ったら、白鳥でした。
昼間は畑で食事をして、夜は湖で過ごすことが多いようです。
From autumn to spring, we can see swans in Lake Kussharo.
I thought that swans stay in the lake all day. But I often saw them in the fields.
They feed on grass in the fields during the day, then they move to the lake for sleeping.
